But in the end, that fact doesn´t really detract from the book at all as Meg Cabot´s trademark writing style (fun and sassy) more than makes up for the familiarity of the plot. Sometimes, what you really want is a satisfying romance where the heroine and hero are people you can cheer for, the villains get their comeuppance and everything works out perfectly in the end. This is just such a book and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
