I am a decent journeyman coder, not a guru, and this helped me wrap my head around what is involved with concurrency. Concurrency is in many ways orthogonal to the rest of Java programming, so it´s good to get a clear and authoritative guide. The best part about the book is Mr Yuk an icon to denote really bad thread unsafe code examples and comparison to different implementations that are correct -you will see from the first day onwards the mistakes that you have been making in your existing code. Very practical; Good explanation, lots of sample code.
