What secrets will they uncover?

The Colby Agency returns, stronger than ever. Once again, death is on their doorstep and it is up to the top notch investigators of the Colby Agency to unravel the mystery. The suspense builds throughout the story until the final secrets are revealed. In fact, the only thing that kept this book from being perfect is that the ending came a bit too quickly and seemed somewhat rushed. The length of the format probably played a big part in this, however, as Debra Webb did a beautiful job otherwise.

Mary Jane and Shane are an unlikely combination, and yet it works. Romance isn´t the focus of the story, but the relationship that builds between them is sweetly sensual. Shane´s past history will have readers cheering for him as he has to face his past time and again during the investigation.

The Colby Agency books are a comfort read for me. There are always glimpses of past characters, characters who seem almost real. Debra Webb is one of the absolute masters in the romantic suspense category and she showcases her talents once again in COLBY REBUILT.

Colby agent or not, he didn´t dare cross the line with this woman -- not yet Former U.S. marshal Shane Allen made one mistake on the job, and it cost him his reputation. Now he had a second chance working an inside case for the newly rebuilt Colby Agency. And nothing, certainly not some tagalong woman, was going to ruin it.

After her sister´s murder, justice was all that Mary Jane Brooks wanted. And Shane was crucial to nailing those responsible, even if he did send her pulse racing.
