Escapism, adventure, easy reading, and spicy - good for a long trip or snippet reading when you can steal time. Recommended for adult women with a healthy sense of imagination. The romantic aspect appealed to me less than the adventure and historical aspects. Not particularly well written or profound, rather for busy women who like to read to escape - this is a great series. The first book was best, the second slightly feeble, but this, the third, picks up steam and the content is varied and captivating. I want to visit Scotland now!¤ 2) Paperback Book Voyager by Delta. I first started reading this series a few years ago and highly await the next publication of the series. Written by a very talented Scottsdale, AZ author, Diana Gabaldon; this series of books is for anyone who wants to find a captivating read. The plot starts with a post World War II nurse who is visiting Scotland with her husband and accidentally steps through some stones back in time a few hundred years and how she has to adapt quickly to her surroundings in order to survive. She meets up with a band of Scottish highlanders who take her in and force her into marrying one of their own, the handsome Jamie who protects her from harm and the two end up madly in love. Sounds like a romance novel? Well, it is not. It is researched and written beautifully and you find yourself learning all there is to know about Scotland during this historical time. This novel is for history buffs and well versed readers. This is a series of books that lead us historically through time and place through the eyes of Clare and Jamie. After reading the first book, you will be looking to buy the rest of the series. Hooray for Diana Gabaldon!¤ 3) Paperback Book Voyager by Delta. How about a little bubble wrap? I recently ordered several paperback books from Amazon and they were placed in one box without any paper or bubble wrap. As a result, two of the covers were bent. I paid for new books but a poor packing job made them look like used copies.¤ 4) Paperback Book Voyager by Delta. What a roller coaster ride! The book left me breathless and smiling. It was one adventure after another with a few calm points in between. From what I gather from the other reviews, Voyager was supposed to be the final book in a trilogy. I´m SO glad it isn´t. I can´t seem to get enough of Claire and Jamie and want to know: "What happens next?" We meet old friends, new friends and old enemys.
5) Paperback Book Voyager by Delta. This is the third book of the Diana Gabaldon Outlander and of all the years I have been reading, they are my favorite series. Ms. Gabaldone will keep you in laughter and you will shed plenty of ters and she takes you on a journey with Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser. You will experience alot of history and become a part of what you read. Excellent books and Voyager is one of my favorites¤ 6) Paperback Book Voyager by Delta. In this rich, vibrant tale, Diana Gabaldon continues the story of Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser that began with the now-classic novel Outlander and continued in Dragonfly in Amber. Sweeping us from the battlefields of eighteenth-century Scotland to the exotic West Indies, Diana Gabaldon weaves magic once again in an exhilarating and utterly unforgettable novel....
