1) Board book Book Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed (Board Book) by Sandpiper. My 17 month old son loves this book. Today when I went to pick him up from day care, he was holding this book, sat down and started "reading" it. He shook his finger in the air and said "no no monkey bed." All the other kids in the class saw what he was doing and they too (other 17 month olds) started shaking their fingers in the air saying "no no" and tapping their heads (for "bumped his head"). My feeling is that any book that encourages a kid that young to "read" is a great book! It is a classic song made into an enjoyable but catchy story! Enjoy!¤

When it´s late, we always go for a short story, and she always picks this one. My girl and my son gather on the bed and read our favorite book. We´ve read it so often, they´ll recite the words as we read. Always puts us in a good mood and gets us ready for bed. What a joy!.¤

5) Board book Book Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed (Board Book) by Sandpiper. Not only is this book really boring, but my kids start jumping on the bed and go nuts every time I read it. It makes them hyper when I´m trying to get them to settle down for the evening. I´ll never read it to them again.¤
