1) Paperback Book Friend or Foe? (Outernet #1) by The Chicken House. This book is science fiction for kids 5th grade or below.
The ´next generation´ Mac lap-top with holographic images and speech recognitions as an outer space "Server" with teleportation is
kind of fun. The American friend as being a complete self-server
is really kind of Republican funny.
I don´t think I would buy this for kids I know as it would insult them?
The book is more like a bad sci fi cartoon on TV, than what I would like to see. And this book is just number one in a series!¤

2) Paperback Book Friend or Foe? (Outernet #1) by The Chicken House. Outernet is about a boy named Jack, and his two friends Merle and Loaf. For Jack´s birthday he gets a laptop. at first he thinks it is an ordinary laptop, but when he and his friends open it they find out that it is a computer that leads to the Outernet, an intergalactic internet, but some ´bad guys´ are trying to find it. They are trying to find it because that is all they need in order to control the galaxy which would mean no freedom for others.
I liked Outernet because it was a book that was more straight to the point. It also had lots of action. I also liked it because it was just a good science - fiction book. One dislike I had of the book was that the end sort of dragged.¤

3) Paperback Book Friend or Foe? (Outernet #1) by The Chicken House. I really liked Outernet because it tells of aliens that want to take a server from the earthlings Jack, Merle, and Loaf. A server is a high-tech computer that can transport you to another galaxy and you can send o-mail to other people or aliens anywhere. The FOES are the bad aliens who want to take the last server and rule the galaxy. The FRIENDS are the good guys who try to stop the foes. Jack, Merle, and Loaf as well as Janus the alien FRIEND, Bitz who is the talking alien dog, and Googie the talking alien cat try to stop the foes on their quest. They have to return the server to an alien called Weaver to stop the FOES from taking over. I also liked this book because it has a lot of action like when Jack, Merle, and Loaf get taken to the FOE´S prison planet. Janus sets off an alarm so all the prison doors open and then they can all escape. They nearly get caught bu they escape by the skin of their teeth. In the end the FRIENDS still have the server but in the next book you will find out more on what happens to the FRIENDS and what the FOE´S next move are.¤

4) Paperback Book Friend or Foe? (Outernet #1) by The Chicken House. Outernet is about Jack, and his friends Merle and Loaf. Jack has a "normal" laptop, only it´s not so normal. It links them to a place called the Outernet. Jack and his friends (and Bitz and Googie, metamorphing animals) hold the key to the beginning and the end of the Outernet. It is a very engrossing book, as is the entire Outernet series. A great read!¤

5) Paperback Book Friend or Foe? (Outernet #1) by The Chicken House. If you like sci-fi, this is a book that will boggle your brain! When Jack, Loaf, and Merle stumble opon The Server, they imidiately overlook the fine print. But after Jack is teleported to another planet and the pets start talking, they start getting the picture. A PAN-GALACTIC WEB OF INFORMATION! So they consider their options. they could vaporize their enemies, send people to other planets and make a fortune, or rescue the Galaxy from evil. This is a book that you won´t be able to put down until you´re done(when you are done, you´ll buy the next book in the series).¤

6) Paperback Book Friend or Foe? (Outernet #1) by The Chicken House.

The Outernet is a web of intergalactic computer networks linked through Servers on different planets. As the series opens, we discover that the evil Tyrant and his henchmen (the FOES) are trying to take over the Outernet and use its powers to control the galaxy. Our heroes, including several not-so-lucky Earth kids, accidentally connect to the Outernet via a lost Server. They must work with the Friends of the Outernet to keep freedom and liberty in the Galaxy. They are assisted (and often hindered) by a hilarious dog and cat team who are disguised agents of the Friends and the FOES.
