I´m actually reading this and another few books about holocaust survivors and this just isn´t as good as others.¤ 2) Mass Market Paperback Book Survivors: True Stories of Children in the Holocaust by Scholastic Paperbacks. It is a good book, the stories are cruel, but not so detailed. Kids need to know about what happened, and this is a good way, but definitely not for kids under sixth grade.

I purchased a class set for my 6th grade class. I feel this book was very appropriately written for this age. Of course there are parts to the stories that are "unbelievable" and sad to read, especially for me as an adult. However, children these days are exposed to much more by media and often with less censorship and thought.
