1) Hardcover Book Advanced Wireless Communications: 4G Technologies by Wiley. Goes to some extent covering the length and breadth of wireless baseband transciever and techniques. However really becomes encyclopediac than a solid treatment of concepts. Good chapters on space time coding though, but really not a recommendation for serious concept mongers.¤

2) Hardcover Book Advanced Wireless Communications: 4G Technologies by Wiley. 4G was and still is being solidified, when the book came out. Glisic gives a detailed technical description of the concepts and proposed standards. 4G encompasses several major ideas. Like Ultra Wide Band. There are by now books devoted to UWB. But Glisic´s text puts it squarely within the broader context of 4G and its possible usages.

Ubiquity and (wireless) mobility are perhaps the core motivations in the book. That distinguish 4G from 3G. The prospect one day of a universal handset that can be seamlessly used throughout the world is enticing. Vast commercial potential. This is the inducement and context that you should keep in mind, when reading the book.¤
