3) Paperback Book Fedora 5 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 Bible by Wiley. I originally bought this book as a sytems administrator´s reference. I was disappointed by the lack of depth provided on most topics, and the poor job done indexing.

For example, I ran into an issue where I needed some refresher information on the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. I found a single page of basic descriptive information on p134 compared to the in depth information provided by an out-of-date Sam´s Fedora Unleashed (Ball and Duff).

I only recommend this book as an orientation to those newly learning Linux/RedHat/Fedora. The book does do a good job of providing links and references of where to obtain further information on many topics.¤

The book is enormous and contains much information that was useful to me along with much more information that was of no interest to me, but may have been interesting to someone else. In other words the book is like an encyclopedia.¤
