1) Paperback Book A Weekend with Wendell by HarperTrophy. I´m a grade school tutor and my students love all Kevin Henkes´ books. A Weekend With Wendell was a great hit!¤

2) Paperback Book A Weekend with Wendell by HarperTrophy. We are a family who always enjoys the writings of Kevin Henkes, in fact we own at least a dozen of his books. While, A Weekend with Wendell is not our favorite book by the author, we thoroughly enjoy the book and read it as a family over and over again. What I enjoy most about this book, and all of Kevin Henkes´ books, is that the books are entertaining for children and parents of every age. No matter how young, no matter how old the stories are delightful and you always walk away feeling good.¤

3) Paperback Book A Weekend with Wendell by HarperTrophy. Kevin Henkes has created another enjoyable book that kids would be able to identify with, because the characters have personalities like one they might have seen and the storyline is very personable. Most students could probably recount an instance where they were either the overconfident and manipulitive Wendell, or the shy and reserved Sophie. Also it´s a good read because students would be able to read this book on their own and understand it well, due to the simple text.¤

4) Paperback Book A Weekend with Wendell by HarperTrophy. This is a funny little story of two mice (kids) who start off on the wrong foot but end up being best friends over a weekend. The best kids´ books make grownups laugh and appeal to a wide range of ages, and this one fits the bill--it´s a great bedtime choice for my eight year old niece as well as my six and three year old nephews. Very very cute illustrations too. At (the price), a bargain!¤

5) Paperback Book A Weekend with Wendell by HarperTrophy. This book cracks me up. I like all of Kevin Henkes´ books, but for some reason, this one really makes me laugh (I especially like when they play bakery and Sophie has to be a sweetroll). More importantly, my 4-year-old loves it too. And, of course, buried deep in this story is a nice lesson about being polite to a guest, no matter how difficult that can be.¤

6) Paperback Book A Weekend with Wendell by HarperTrophy. Wendell was spending the weekend at Sophie´s house. Playing house, Wendell was the mother, the father, and the children; Sophie was the dog. Playing bakery, Wendell was the baker; Sophie got to be the sweet roll. Wendell shone his flashlight in Sophie´s eyes when she tried to sleep. But when he gave her a new hairdo with shaving cream, it was the last straw, and Sophie made up a game that left Wendell speechless for a time -- and won the day for friendship.¤
