I´d borrowed a copy from my daughter to read, and had to purchase a copy for myself. The author is right on with her advice. I would recommend this book to any woman who is ´searching for Mr. Right´.¤

What I liked the most about this book was the way McKinney used the story of Ruth and Boaz to prove many of the points in her book. Many of the other self help books that I´ve read (and I´ve read MANY, MANY, MAAAANY of them!) teach you that when you want to find Mr. right, that you need to put yourself out there, literally hunt for him, apply some game or some trick or some flirting technique. Those techniques capture a man´s attention but can you maintain a relationship off of a technique? Eventually, you have to be the real you. Mckinney´s book helps you focus on just that. Mckinney´s not advocating that you sit on your butt and do nothing but hope and pray the right man will come to you, but she teaches that you really must work on the qualities all women inately have in them.She teaches you to work on that "there is just something about her" quality that we all have. She writes about that quality being highly attractive to men, especially men who have those qualities themselves.She talks about the importance of being a whole woman as a prerequisite to being in the right relationship. While these may be points we´ve all heard over and over again from other self-help sources, McKinney´s advice on how to apply these learnings is often opposite what others advise us to do....this again, shouldn´t be surprising to a believer in Christ. Our spiritual teachings advise us to GIVE in order get more yet the world´s way teaches us to HOARD what we have and not share it but accumulate more.
God teaches us that loving and praying for our enemies is like pouring heaping coals on their head but the world says don´t forgive but go out and destroy our enemies....Mckinney teaches that the best way to attract Mr. Right is to develop those "virtuous woman" qualities that help him find YOU.

Does it work? My fiance thinks so!

I´ve read some of the negative reviews on this book, but I would encourage anyone who is considering purchasing this book to take the "leap of faith." If you don´t like it, you´re only out of $11. Besides, if you´re a Believer, you know that God´s way of doing things is completely nonsense to the unbeliever, therefore they could never be helped by a self help book that uses the Bible to help you understand how you can attract Mr. Right.

As a newly divorced mother of two. I wanted to make sure that I looked for the right things in a man and not just go for anything just to say I have one. It made me think about past relationships and not play the victim in what ocurred. To take a hard look at some of the signs telling me this person is not good for you, but did it anyway. Taught me about not investing my time nor my spirit in a person that is not fit for me. I must first Love myself. She writes as if she is sitting right there saying "Girl you better learn some sense." Execellent job!! I have recommened this book to several friends.¤
