I got a kick out of simply reading the book, too, because of its lively style. Not all of the solutions work as well as I hoped, but many did. Even the ones that didn´t produce perfect results are generally greener and cheaper than harsher approaches and may be good enough for many.
I actually had to buy several of the products mentioned since I didn´t have them in the house, and a few are kind of hard to find since store shelves are so filled with brightly colored chemical solutions these days. While I want to minimize chemicals and simplify the array of products I have to keep on hand, I also want an effective result, so I´ve ended up with a combination of ´the Queen´s´ tips and standard products I´ve found that do a great job. It was hard for me to throw away the non-performers I´ve collected, but it turned out some were very effective at killing the weeds in the driveway. Even if you only come away with five or six tips that ease the hassle of cleaning for you, the book is well worth the purchase.
