It has a lot of useful information for a student his age, along with DIY experiments and links to more info on the internet. The colorful photos are captivating and the links inspire them to want to look further into things. This book has definitely allowed our kids to do a better job with their science homework and reports. I am sure they will continue to use it through high school.¤ 5) Hardcover Book Science Encyclopedia by E.D.C. Publishing. The encyclopedia is not bad with the coverage and internet links. However, as a reference book, it should be in hard cover. The book, with soft cover and poor binding, started to fall apart just a week after we used it.
