I gave the book one star because of a serious omission: the lack of any sourcing of references, quotations, or even a bibliography. The omissions of these is inexcusable: there are direct quotes and references to other studies cited in support of propositions but no way to check on them or pursue them. I cannot imagine why a reputable publisher like Britannica was so slovenly.
