1) Paperback Book The Raptor Virus (The Y2K Series #2) by B&H Publishing Group. Over all I was disappointed in this book. The action and suspense were not bad. And the Christian aspect was good. However, there were way too many unimportant details in the writing. The characters were empty and one-dimensional. Russell came across as a robot. Interaction between the characters was stilted and specifically attempts at romantic dialogue were unimaginative and repetitive.¤

2) Paperback Book The Raptor Virus (The Y2K Series #2) by B&H Publishing Group. Simon seems to know his stuff about computers and geography, but his writing style is unimpressive. And that this book is in the Christian Fiction category befuddles me; there are few references to God and none that significantly affect the plot. More importantly, none of this draws me into a deeper relationship with Christ.

In chapter 3, Simon writes, "Hanna stopped her Explorer, got out, and opened the combination lock. She swung the gate wide while Russell drove the SUV through. After locking the gate, Hanna got back in and put the Ford in gear." Is this an advertisement for Ford? Throughout the book we´re given extra details that neither add to the plot nor make us want to read further.

It takes nearly half the book before the plot begins to unfold, spending more ink on relationships than on the virus.

There are action areas that are exciting to read once the plot unfolds, but it takes a long time to get there. Finally, the story ends with an unimaginative conclusion that leaves you empty.¤

3) Paperback Book The Raptor Virus (The Y2K Series #2) by B&H Publishing Group. After surviving the “Y2K bug,” the now-married Russell and Hanna have returned to what they hope will be a normal life. But those responsible for the Y2K bug have not forgotten the parts Russell and Hanna played in their failure. Paul, having returned to work for the CIA, fears the U.S. may be vulnerable to another computer attack, and he asks Hanna to look into it. Hanna discovers the Raptor Virus, a bug that is in an array of control chips planted in telecommunication switches and routers throughout the world.

The Chinese decide Hanna is getting too close, and they set her up. Knowing that they are being pursued, Hanna and Russell travel to Big Bend, but the Chinese are stalking them.

The chase is on as the CIA tries to protect Hanna and her family from the sinister forces behind the Raptor Virus.¤
