1) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press. This is a really exciting, action-packed read - I love science, and this book had it all; romance, action, intrigue, and awesome science fiction. (or is it fiction?) including time travel. I loved it, and highly recommend it to anyone who loved the Da Vinci code, and who also has a flair for science. Great!!¤

2) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press. This techno-thriller is the sort of book that I can´t get enough of - and I wish there were more of them to read. If you love Crichton, Rollins, Brown, and Clancy this book is for you. It is written very well, and it is very believable. Many of these books frustrate me because they don´t show an adequate understanding of the US government and its inner workings. This book does a great job in staying in the realm of possible while pushing as far as possible to the edge of belief.

I found myself purposely slowing down reading the book, because I didn´t want to be done with it. I hope that his next book is just as good - and I hope it comes out soon.... I´m ready.¤

3) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press. This book was just what I had hoped for - a fun read. For my fiction fix I tend to read thrillers more than sci-fi novels, so the true science fiction fan may not think this is as strong as other books. But it was just enough science for me to give it plausibility (or perhaps I should say, to allow me to suspend disbelief for a while) and the action was non stop. Pondering his scientific theories are great fun, keeping in mind that this is simply the exploration as to the "what if it happened this way" of one particular theory.

And it had something many thrillers (and some famous Sci Fi directors) are starting to ignore more and more - characters one cares about enough to want to pull for.

After finishing the book I was surprised to remind myself that this is Mr. DeSmedt´s first novel - a great accomplishment indeed. Take Singularity to the beach, on that cruise, or whenever else you want to disappear from the world for a bit.¤

4) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press. Bill DeSmedt does an excellent job writing a book that is at the same time fun to read, and intellectually stimulating. The character development is rich, and the story line is fast paced and exciting. This book is definitely worth the money. It will leave you satisfied, but looking forward to the authors next book!¤

5) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press. This nice small-press technothriller sank without a trace, but it´s worth looking for. It´s a retelling of the Tunguska impact as a what-if it was a micro black hole? Structured as a spy thriller, it´s not terribly plausible (especially the Eeevil Russky Villain) but moves along briskly, with some interesting and entertaining twists en route. Well above average first novel: recommended. A sequel is promised, but SINGULARITY is fully self-contained.

Happy reading--

6) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press.

A maverick astrophysicist, a rookie secret agent, and an uncanny consultant join forces in this technological thriller to stop the capture of a submicroscopic black hole whose power will be harnessed to transform—or end—the world. More than a hundred years earlier, the most violent cosmic collision ever recorded flattened a remote area in Tunguska, Siberia. Now, astrophysicist Jack Adler, conducting research at the site, discovers a tiny black hole at the center of the mysterious event, and alarmingly, the object has been burrowing its way through the Earth´s core ever since. Meanwhile, secret agent Marianna Bonaventure enlists the help of Jonathan Knox, an analyst with an uncanny ability to find hidden relationships between seemingly disparate people and events, to search for three missing scientists and infiltrate the floating headquarters of a Russian industrialist. From the trackless wastes of Siberia and the rooftops of Manhattan to the stygian depths of the North Atlantic, this meticulously researched tale looks at global power struggles, cosmology, and human relationships in rich detail.

7) Hardcover Book Singularity by Per Aspera Press. Bill DeSmedt should be on the bestseller lists with Tom Clancy and Dan Brown. DeSmedt´s ambitious and exciting debut novel, Singularity, mixes a post-Cold-War conspiracy with cutting-edge quantum physics and a century-old mystery to create a terrifying techno-thriller.

A secret US government agency, CROM, fights terrorism by apprehending or terminating post-Soviet scientists before they sell the technology of mass destruction to terrorists. A rookie CROM agent, Marianna Bonaventure, and a brilliant consultant, Jonathan Knox, find themselves on an undercover mission to locate a missing Russian physicist. Instead, they discover a secret far scarier than terrorists with nuclear weapons.

The famous "meteor" that devastated Siberia´s Tunguska wasteland in 1908 was no meteor. It was a microscopic black hole that entered the earth´s crust--and never exited. Trapped, it may eventually devour the earth. But a small, clandestine group has developed secret technology to capture the black hole. If the conspirators succeed, the world will be enslaved by a dictatorship made omnipotent by the black hole´s quantum effects. If the conspirators fail, they will accelerate the black hole´s destructiveness--and guarantee the earth´s immediate annihilation. Bonaventure and Knox rush to stop the conspirators--but they may already be too late. --Cynthia Ward¤
