1) Paperback Book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century by Reality Press. It is clear from the range of reviews that I´m not the only one confused and disoriented by MR. Harper´s rangy, disjointed lack of style. This is one of the most difficult to follow books I have ever held in my hands. It is not for beginners. If you have little or no background into new age thinking, stay away from this book. The five star reviews must have come from people with a vast background of knowledge on the subject to begin with, or who are mentally ill.
References to other people´s work abound. Mr. Harper injects his opinions between references, and makes far too many claims to unsupported axioms. Tough read. Good luck.¤ 2) Paperback Book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century by Reality Press. I put this book down for good about 3/4 of the way through. Most of the information is quotes, references to other authors´ work, or NDE narrative. While this is interesting, it seems to me that the only contribution the author made was stating his theories here and there. He claims that these theories are true, but does not provide any explanation to help the reader understand his train of thought in order to arrive at their own conclusion. Theories are great fun, but I am turned off by someone who tells me what there theory is, claims that it´s obviously true, but doesn´t tell me why. I rarely leave a book unread, but just couldn´t finish this one.¤ 3) Paperback Book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century by Reality Press. First of all, the reason this book has sold so well, and the reason there are so many reviews here, is because of the author´s multiple guest spots on Coast to Coast AM (para-meta-conspiracy, alternative radio), of which I am a long time listener. This is my kind of book, I was more than willing to eat it up. But what I experienced was one of the most poorly written, poorly edited smorgasbords of loosely related material with constant, almost paranoiac, reference to the work of others, that I found it almost unreadable. I mean I had to put that puppy down for a while until I again had the fortitude to continue. By the time I finished it,... weeks,... there was nothing about it I carried away with me. No inspiration, no follow-up based on the voluminous reference material,.... nothing. I actually think he ended up reining all his stuff for me. Anyway, if you want my suggestion, if you want spiritual, related to 2012, new age, etc., try Ramtha or James Gilliland. If you want armchair compilation experts, try to find someone who can write. You will, there are many.¤ 4) Paperback Book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century by Reality Press. In this uniquely formatted and immediately engaging book, Harper shares his spiritual quest for enlightenment. His wide range of knowledge and experience in everything from mathematics to anthropology and shamanism gives the book perspective, with quotes from other "great minds" make fun reading.¤ 5) Paperback Book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century by Reality Press. Tranceformers begins with a plethora of beautiful quotes from Buddha to Wood Allen. I highly suggest taking the time to read through these and enjoy each one. They are wonderful. The book itself is an insightful, sometimes heart tugging journey beginning with the relationship and loss of a close friend and how his "other side" visit has taken the author on a journey into Shamans and their role in society. This is a very interesting read for readers who have any curiosity about Shamans.¤ 6) Paperback Book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century by Reality Press. Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century is the true story of this author’s contact with a "dead" physicist after he fell into a trance state spontaneously some six months after his colleague suffered a fatal heart attack in Alabama. But indeed it was this telepathic communication that ultimately forced him to seek scientific answers to spiritual questions about "life-after-death." For more than a decade, Harper embarked on a methodical vision quest performing painstaking research into "abnormal physics and paranormal psychology," as he says, to put forth the case for our specie’s immortality. This headstrong but heartfelt effort would first lift him up to the heights of ecstasy then plunge him down to the depths of despair, as he realized that we keep killing these messages—if not the messengers, anymore. Throughout, Harper summons an astounding array of overwhelming facts that lend credence to the story-telling myths of long-lived civilizations such as the Mayans and Egyptians, and the death-denying schools of thought espoused by the Gnostics and Freemasons. Specifically, Harper has reviewed the old literature and built a new theory on solid intellectual ground that includes considerations from anthropology, archaeology, astronomy, astrology, biology, physics, psychology, history, medicine, and theology to name but a few disciplines. Notwithstanding, this is an easy-to-read honest book not to be overlooked as Harper spews scientific theory and salutes spiritual teachings equally. He sees no contradiction between these two models of reality. There is also a faith in the wisdom of nature here and a rare chance to find solace in times-of-trouble by reviewing the insights gleaned from Harper´s communion with the "realm of the dead" and God. In summary, Harper offers insights far from the simplistic optimism of New Age writers through a deep sense of "knowing," and that becomes obvious in the preface itself; yet his truth rings true from the first page to the last one. He never loses sight of his objective either, explaining how the mystical experiences of every man, woman, and child throughout the ages is an initiation into the fifth dimension of the shaman’s consciousness, a precursor to the End Time "shift of the ages" for humanity worldwide in era-2012 AD.¤ Page Updated: Robert N.
