1) Hardcover Book Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio: The Fun Years, 1955-1975 by Chicago´s Books Press. If you grew up in the 50´s and 60´s,loved rock-n-roll music and just happened to listen to WLS radio in Chicago you´ll love this book. I grew up in Arkansas and listened to WLS every night when I went to bed and this book brings back memories of the good old times.¤

2) Hardcover Book Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio: The Fun Years, 1955-1975 by Chicago´s Books Press. A fun, enjoyable read. A great inside look at a wonderful period in American radio and music...the good and the ugly. The photos are fantastic. The CD is a spectacular bonus! (Now...if we can just do something about those music lawyers...)¤

3) Hardcover Book Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio: The Fun Years, 1955-1975 by Chicago´s Books Press. Finally picked up my copy and read it cover to cover. A delightful walk through Chicago pop and Top-40 radio´s golden days. Brought back delightful memories of listening to Clark Weber from the "transistor radio" on WLS to his days at Big 10, Super ´CFL and finally WIND 560 on your am dial.

Clark, I hope there´s a sequel in the works, as this text was a privileged look behind the scenes of what pop radio was like in the early years (and we still have the rest of Clark´s career that takes in WIND and his days at WJJD).

A bonus CD provides jingles and other memorable moments with Clark, Ron Riley, Uncle Lar and Lil Tommy and even Steve and Garry.

Sorry to say they don´t make music like the did in the 60´s and radio has become a big business focused on the bottom line. Thankfully, with a book like this, we can rewind, remember and enjoy again and again.

Borrowing a line from Bob Hope,"Clark Weber, thanks for the memories, all those wonderful music-laced A.M. modulated memories."¤

4) Hardcover Book Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio: The Fun Years, 1955-1975 by Chicago´s Books Press. This is one book I have anticipated for a long time. As an advisory, in the 1990s I authored a book about WLS deejays so am familiar with some of the people and stories - but Clark Weber has gone above and beyond with his book full of memories of his radio career (the rock years).
The pictures are terrific - the Supremes, Beatles, Monkees, Dick Clark, broadcast studio shots, music surveys . . . they´re all here.
Weber is a good storyteller, often giving you the details of an anecdote before telling you who it is about. Most of the time it is a behind the scenes glance at someone famous whose path he crossed.
An added bonus to this book is a nearly 30 minute CD, narrated by Mother Weber´s Oldest Son himself, featuring those catchy WLS and WCFL jingles as well as airchecks from a number of deejays (along with a classic "Animal Stories" tale with Uncle Lar and Little Snot Nosed Tommy).
Fans of the radio heydays of the Sixties (especially Chicago radio) who spent time glued to their transistors, will love this book and rip through it in one sitting like I did.¤

5) Hardcover Book Clark Weber's Rock and Roll Radio: The Fun Years, 1955-1975 by Chicago´s Books Press. Clark Weber was one of the most popular disc jockeys in Chicago during the 1960s and 1970s, first at WLS-AM and then at WCFL-AM. He was both program director and deejay at WLS, and along with Dick Biondi, Clark was one of the best known disc jockeys in America. The book includes memories, more than 75 photos, and numerous stories about Clark´s career, his years at rock and roll radio stations, and remembrances of many of the popular singing stars of those years, including Elvis, The Beatles, The Supremes, Sonny and Cher, Neil Diamond, Bobby Darin, Paul Revere and the Raiders, and lots more.¤
