As a romantic at heart and as one of those girls that would love to believe in true love, this book confirms to me that it is actually possible to find your soul mate. Now I´m not saying this book is for the people that want to read about happily ever after´s, because in reality most of these love letters are dated and back when Beethoven was in love with the imfamous "Immortal Beloved" people didn´t always get to have a happily ever after. The letter´s are more based on the Romeo and Juliet scenario. You find your true love but you are destined to forever be apart. However, those facts do not take away from the remarkable truth that these letter´s were written by real people for real people, and while reading them you can find yourself trasported to that place and time, and feel just as loved and adored.¤

For those only interested in this book because of the SATC movie the letter varies slightly. I´m not sure that many people know that it is a great mystery whom the "immortal beloved" is referring to by Beethoven. There are many theories about who "immortal beloved" is and there is even a movie about it...but no one knows. I love that. I love to read that letter and I feel like I am given a brief glimpse into someone´s secret heart and I wonder how she felt about him.¤
