1) Paperback Book Blame It On Paradise (Indigo Love Spectrum) by Genesis Press. After all the wonderful reviews, I didn´t want to just repeat or rephrase. However, I simply cannot move on to another book without adding my 5-star rating for this wonderful book. The language, flow, and story line were exceptional! This is definitely a page turner and I sacrificed sleep on a work night to finish reading it. Well worth it!

After reading Crystal Hubbard´s, "Crush", I became a fan. Now I am one of her greatest supporters. Keep it up, Crystal!!!

2) Paperback Book Blame It On Paradise (Indigo Love Spectrum) by Genesis Press. I am not a romance reader but this book had me hooked from the moment I read the back cover. Blame It On Paradise is a far cry from what I expected a romance novel to be. The writing is descriptive without being flowery and Ms. Hubbard´s characters of Jack DeVoy and Lina Marchand are very well drawn. I found myself actually caring about this couple even though they´re fictional!

The theme of the book is universal. Sometimes great sacrifice leads to great happiness and that message is shown in a refreshing way that doesn´t clock you over the head. I´m a convert and I think I need to check out the rest of Ms. Hubbard´s books. I had no idea romances this good were out there!

From reading some of the other reviews, I gather that it´s a key point that this book is interracial. Even though I saw the cover photo and I read the physical descriptions of Jack and Lina, their racial differences didn´t overwhelm the rest of the story. Even in the couple of scenes where race is central, Ms. Hubbard handles the just-like-real-life episodes sensibly. No pat solutions are offered and I appreciated that.

Blame It On Paradise is a book for anyone who likes a good love story.¤

3) Paperback Book Blame It On Paradise (Indigo Love Spectrum) by Genesis Press. Crush was a good debut novel, this is even better. A more mature work but still with funny moments. Clash of cultural values between South Pacific island girl and Western city boy. It is a two parter story, the first part boy meets girl in the island and the second part girl meets boy in Boston. What happens and how they resolve their differences is the main thrust of the story and enjoyable it is.¤

5) Paperback Book Blame It On Paradise (Indigo Love Spectrum) by Genesis Press. Ms. Hubbard has done it again! "Blame It on Paradise" is a fun IR read that pits an island girl against a big city boy. Anyone would think that the big city boy with his sophistication would hold sway, but they would be wrong, very wrong.
From the moment Jack meets the ebony goddess Lina, he was seduced and the race was pretty much over.
Mistaken identity, passion, witty repartees, all help to make this book a worthwhile read. I´m especially impressed that there was no belaboring of the fact that both were of different ethnicities; this was certainly a refreshing change to the oft melodramatic norm of most authors who deal with this particular issue.
It was also a very nice touch for Ms. Hubbard to mention the birth of Lucas´ and Miranda´s other child. It was a sweet trip down memory lane. For those who do not know, Lucas and Miranda were the couple from Ms. Hubbard´s first book "CRUSH".
