I recently purchased a Kindle and thought it would be so cool to have the BIG BOOK from AA on there and when I went to this site I found they have various editions which may not be the real AA BIG BOOK nor do they have it on KINDLE. So, now I am confused as to which one to purchase as I want the newer edition. Disappointment to say the least and then in starting to read the reviews...well AA is there for those who choose it. It is how you apply it to your life that will determine your path. Some work the steps some dance on them and some add past the 12 steps but that is on them. I love AA I love the people who work the program and regardless of imperfection I did come to love GOD and not have that guilt. I have 14 years of continuous sobriety, never relapsed never CHOSE to slip. My son has never seen me intoxicated and has been at every Sobriety Birthday I have had. Too bad the original AA book is not here and the other comments were correct. You can get a book for 5 to 7 dollars at an AA meeting. But I would be glad to purchase one on the Kindle if it was here.¤ 2) Paperback Book Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book 4th Edition by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.. The only reason this program was successful is because it labeled alcoholism as a disease, and so it got implemented into treatment centers that are paid by insurance. AA says alcoholism is a "spiritual" disorder. This is to then say that spiritual disorders are diseases. Nonsense!
3) Paperback Book Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book 4th Edition by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.. If you´re struggling with alcohol, this is your Bible. It is essential to have and read this book if you have any hope of freeing yourself from alcohol. This book will only help (in most cases) in conjunction with other steps one needs to to take to heal. The first and foremost is joining AA and working through the steps with a sponsor and the support of your AA group. If you think you might need help with an alcohol problem, you do!¤ 4) Paperback Book Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book 4th Edition by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.. This overhyped book is basically for people of low worth and low intellect who won´t face the truth about this dishonest cult of ignorance, ego and hypocrisy. After all these years and four editions (plenty of time to correct itself) it´s still attributing a quote to Herbert Spencer that he never made... and that´s only the start of of the unexamined claims and sick pieties of this "book." You don´t want to drink, don´t drink. You don´t need to get maudlin about it, and kneejerk sickening sentimentality is all you´ll find in this "Big Book." Steer clear of it and the attached cult.¤ 5) Paperback Book Alcoholics Anonymous - Big Book 4th Edition by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.. This book tells exactly how hundreds of thousands of real alcoholics have been saved from alcoholism. How can anyone be critical of that if it works? Only the stupid, or ignorant can criticize a book which has literally saved so many people from certain death (not to mention the thousands more they could have victimized).
