1) Hardcover Book The User's Manual for the Brain (Vol 1) by Crown House Publishing. The User´s Manual For The Brain was one of the first books I bought. Although it was quite costly at the time, it is well worth the expense. It is organized for the NLP Practitioner level training program, but can certainly be used for self learning. The chapter on Hypnosis is very impressive, introducing some advanced concepts without overwhelming the novice reader.¤ 2) Hardcover Book The User's Manual for the Brain (Vol 1) by Crown House Publishing. Michael Hall and Bob Bodenhammer have done more good for NLP than anyone else since it´s invention. Their Meta-States Model has revolutionized NLP and fixed many of the problems that were associated with such misnomers as "Sub"-modalities. Just like in Anatomy, because of old flawed data, they misname parts of the human anatomy, like the ´Germinal Epithelium´ of the ovaries because they used to think that it gave birth to the ova, but now we know it does NOT, "sub"-modalities is NOT below in logical levels but META!
Once NLP´rs get beyond the "Pop Psychology" phase of NLP, then they´re be ready to rename "sub"modalities to "Meta"Modalities, like it should be.
Not many other writters besides Michael, Bob, and Robert Dilts, seems to really make NLP something that the Academic, Standard Psychology community can take seriously. WHen I was going for my undergraduate in Psychology, I didn´t see the word NLP under any of my Cognitive Field studies. Michael, Bob, and others like Dilts, are really helping it go in this direction.
How many other NLP books talk much in depth about Korzybski, General-Semantics, or any of the other source material that NLP came from.
¤ 3) Hardcover Book The User's Manual for the Brain (Vol 1) by Crown House Publishing. This book is fantastic for anyone who has learned a little about NLP and wants to take their knowledge to a deeper level. This book provides in-depth coverage of NLP topics and practical excercises to improve your skills. I would recomend this book for anyone who wants to get better with NLP skills.¤ 4) Hardcover Book The User's Manual for the Brain (Vol 1) by Crown House Publishing. The Users Manual claims to be a thorough approach to NLP theory. It is in fact quite the opposite! I am a certified NLP practicioner, among my students are Ross Jeffries,Tony Robbins,Emile Tushman and many others. Bandler himself has many times called me in for consultations. He is a dear friend. Grinder,I can do without. Now this book tells us NOTHING of transpersonal bifurcation. Nothing on linguistic ramification,or interior intellectual stabilization,or sexually diverse incorporation. It just barely touches on speciation and has little of note to say about cross-cultural integration. The information it does present is riddled with errors and out-dated information. If you want to move up to become a true NLP afficianado, this is one book you must avoid!!¤ 5) Hardcover Book The User's Manual for the Brain (Vol 1) by Crown House Publishing. The "Users Manual for the Brain" claims to be a comprehensive review of NLP techniques. It lives up to this claim, but, it appears poorly edited and the illustrations/diagrams often appear separate from the text they are intended to amplify.
If the authors review and update the "Manual", it would be wise to run a spelling and grammar check. A few hours spent judiciously editing a new edition would probably earn it another star.¤ 6) Hardcover Book The User's Manual for the Brain (Vol 1) by Crown House Publishing. Available for the very first time in bound-book format, this is the most comprehensive manual to date covering the NLP Practitioner course. A fully revised and updated edition, it contains the very latest developments in Neuro-Linguistic Programming, particularly with regard to the Meta-states model and the Meta-model of language. For all those embarking on Practitioner training or wishing to study to Practitioner level at home, this book is your essential companion. Written and designed by two of the most important theorists in NLP today, The User´s Manual For The Brain covers every aspect of the Practitioner programme, including the very latest insights.
