It´s a shame we have to purchase a book because the book that came with the product is so crappy. I couldn´t put this book down. Mr. Curtin explains everything in detail. This camera does so much it is helpful to know what each function does, not just how to find the function on the camera. He even describes functions that are not in the Canon book.¤

2) Spiral-bound Book A Short Course in Canon Powershot S2 IS Photography book/ebook by ShortCourses.com. This is a good manual for someone who is new to digital photography and/or has purchased this camera. Even if you don´t own this model, it conatins good explanations of the basics of photography (aperature, speed, exposure). However, you could get that info from any good book on digital photography, I would only buy this if you have the S2 IS or S3 IS. A lot of jumping around from section to section, also would have been nice if it were printed in color. Comes with a CD with the manual on line, with links.¤
