1) Audio CD Music Singin' in the Rain (1952 Film Soundtrack) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). SINGIN´ IN THE RAIN WAS ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT IN ALL RESPECTS---IT HAD
EVERYTHING...AND DONALD OCONNOR ACTUALLY STOLD THE SHOW---BUT WHO WILL
EVER FORGET GENE KELLY DOING THE TITLE SONG IN THE RAIN!!!!¤

2) Audio CD Music Singin' in the Rain (1952 Film Soundtrack) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). As much as people complain about the lack of tapping in this soundtrack, I must say I prefer it with just the music and singing. After all, the whole idea of a soundtrack is to have the music from the film, not the dammed sound effects! Having a soundtrack with sound effects is like taking the sound direct from the movie, when you have that going on...it makes more sense to jolly well watch the moive! This is differnt however, there really is no sound effects, just the singing and music.

If I´m honest, hearing Debbie singing "would you?" (which is a bonus track on this CD) made me think, she was better than the woman that overdubbed her voice, this album certainly gives you the chance to hear stuff that wasn´t in the movie.

Deffinatly something I recommend to anyone who wants the origional soundtrack from such an iconic film, the real deal. It´s cracking without all that tapping! :P (yes, I am English)¤

3) Audio CD Music Singin' in the Rain (1952 Film Soundtrack) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). This was a wonderful movie and the soundtrack is just as enjoyable. Listening to it brought back memories of specific scenes. I highly recommend it.¤

4) Audio CD Music Singin' in the Rain (1952 Film Soundtrack) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). This is a superb soundtrack; I agree with comments thankful for the lack of too much tap dancing (on cd?!?) or dialogs...
I am a big fan of this film (it´s hard not to be) and when I want the whole experience, I sit and watch it.
Naturally, if you have no experience with this cinematic Donen/Kelly masterpiece, the cd would seem a bit bland regardless of some really fine tunes. In that case, go get your self the film itself! And then you might want to purchase this soundtrack as well.¤

5) Audio CD Music Singin' in the Rain (1952 Film Soundtrack) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). Many of the cuts were very short but the disc covers the entire movie.¤

6) Audio CD Music Singin' in the Rain (1952 Film Soundtrack) by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM). This MGM musical helps to epitomize the genre. The 1952 film starred Gene Kelly, Donald O´Connor, and Debbie Reynolds. Reynolds´s tracks, particularly "All I Do Is Dream of You" tend to make her sound like one of the munchkins from The Wizard of Oz, which is unfortunate. It´s Gene Kelly´s songs that are the most enjoyable. The title track is still wonderful, and so engaging you´ll want to swing on lightpoles all over town. An outtake of Kelly´s version of "All I Do Is Dream of You" is another gem, and the M-G-M Studio Orchestra is at its flawless best throughout--even if some of the incidental music sounds like a Tex Avery cartoon score. --Scott Wilson¤
