THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A REALLY GOOD 100 PAGE BOOK, INSTEAD IT WAS A TEDIOUS READ AT 300 PAGES. THE FIRST 170 PAGES WERE ABOUT THE ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF DIGESTION. SOME OF THIS WAS VERY INTERESTING AND RELATIVE BUT COULD HAVE BEEN CONDENSED INTO ABOUT 20 PAGES. I ALSO HAD TROUBLE WITH THE WRITING. ADDING SOME LIGHTHEARTED LEVITY TO AN OTHERWISE DRY SUBJECT IS A GOOD THING BUT THEY THREW A STUPID JOKE INTO EVERY PARAGRAPH. IT FELT INSULTING TO ME AFTER AWHILE. I REALLY ENJOY THEIR SHOWS ON OPRAH BUT CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS BOOK.¤ 4) Kindle Edition eBooks You: On A Diet: The Owner's Manual for Waist Management by The Free Press. If there is a diet out there, I´ve tried it. This is the most comprehensive and yet understandable diet book out there. Everyone is different, and this book takes that into account. It doesn´t beat you up, but gives you the tools needed to work with your limitations, such as genetics, hormones, etc. Identifies causes of weight problems that I´ve never heard before.
