1) Hardcover Book You've Been Warned by Little, Brown and Company. This book is awful. I made myself finish the book because I thought it might get better. No, it was still horrible. I can´t believe that James Patterson´s name is on this piece of garbage.¤ 2) Hardcover Book You've Been Warned by Little, Brown and Company. Being steady reader of James Patterson´s fare, I am amazed at the mediocrity of this book. It appears at first glance that Patterson is trying to compete with Stephen King, but not even coming close. The characters are poorly developed and the plot line is impossible to discern until the authors tell you what it is in the notes at the end. Nowhere in this offering did I ever get the idea that this is a woman´s experience of purgatory or hell. The book completely unbelievable and there is no suspense at all. I am disgusted to have spent any money at all on this piece of garbage.¤ 3) Hardcover Book You've Been Warned by Little, Brown and Company. Kristen is an up and coming photographer living in New York City. She´s a good photographer and is close to making it big. She works as a nanny for the two children of Michael and Penley Turnbull. Kristin seems like a normal 26-year old girl, except that unexplainable things keep happening to her. She keeps waking up screaming from the same dream about four murders at a hotel. Some images in her photos are unexplainable, and she sees her dead father on the streets of Manhattan. Also, Kristen is having an affair with Michael Turnbull and is waiting for him to leave Penley for her any day now. One night in a club, a stranger approaches her and lets her know " You,ve Been Warned"
All of this makes for an amazing psychological thriller. It was very different from anything Patterson has every written which is why I loved it. Most of his "mystery" books he gives away the who dunnit by the second chapter taking the mystery from us. This thrill ride was full of suspense and moments of shock that kept me turning the pages. This will not be a book that long time Patterson fans will like, but if your looking for a great pulse pounding thriller and like me you are not an Alex Cross fan(if you read 2 of them you´ve read them all as he just keeps bringing back the same villains doing the same thing)you will love this book. And now You´ve Been Warned if you start this book you will want to finish in one sitting.¤ 4) Hardcover Book You've Been Warned by Little, Brown and Company. I loved this book. It has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Kristin is a mental case, and you never know if what she is seeing is really happening, or in her mind. Don´t listen to the negative reviews, this is one of the best James Patterson novels in a long time!!!¤ 5) Hardcover Book You've Been Warned by Little, Brown and Company. Funny, the title should help you decide whether or not to purchase the book... I did and was grossly disappointed. I am a Patterson fan and have enjoyed his Alex Cross and Women´s Murder Club series for years. Some on the non-series books are great, good or fair, but until I read "You´ve Been Warned" I have never been disappointed to this level.
The story is the result of taking half of Patterson´s brain and marrying it to half of Stephen King´s brain without the strengths of either author.
I´m warning you, do not purchase "You´ve Been Warned"!!!
